Mauro was born in Porto Alegre, South of Brazil, and always had a passion for registering images. In search of improvement, he graduated in Photography from Cine Clube Gaucho in the beginning of the 90's. His moving to USA in 1992 opened new horizons in knowledge and opportunities. Since then, Mauro has participated in various workshops where he has had the privilege to work side by side with very known photographers such as John Shaw and Barbara Gerlach. Being also attracted to technology, the photographer got an interest in digital photography. This new media allows him to expand creativity using different techniques to capture images with sensibility and lightness which particularize Mauro's style.
